I have been asked several times about my opinion and perception on herbal medicine or supplementing your store counter purchased products with natural or organic healing agents and I always ask them back the same question… “Do you think they work?” or “What has been your experiences with herbal treatments?” I am greeted with the answers of either “I don’t know” or “Well I really haven’t used them”. Well my reply is always, you have to try it to find out.

How Do I Balance My Body pH?

The pH value we’ll discuss is your saliva pH. On the color chart, there are 12 color zones that correspond with their respective pH values… from 5.5 to 8.0 on the pH scale. When using saliva pH as a testing medium, the best range to look for is 6.4 – 6.8, with an average of 6.8 existing as the goal to shoot for. One good… or bad… pH test doesn’t really tell the whole story, so it’s best to get an average reading over a week or more. You’ll find a lot of disagreement about what balanced saliva pH should be, but the science behind saliva pH dictates that since digestion begins in our mouths, the presence of digestive enzymes will ensure that a near-perfect pH level will still be slightly acidic to neutral at 6.8-7.0.
